People started to look more to themselves to use their owen ability to reason in order to judge what is right or what is wrong now royalty or the church. Now with the edvancement of science can be directly linked to the Enlightenment movement it led people to think of ideas that are out side of the box like the invention of electricity would not happen in Benjamin Franklin did not fly his kite into a storm a very foolish move decided by irashonal thinking of new ideas.
Criminal Justice Ceaser Beccaria believed laws existed to preserve social order not to avenge the crimes. He argued that people acused of a crime should have a speedy trial and torture should never be used. The degree of punishment should be on the seriosness of the crime.

    Liberal Arts
Liberal Arts colleges were different than other colleges. Instead of focusing on a certain major they gave the student the chance to take a math course, a science course, and any other courses they would want to take. Many of these universities were run by the church. Some universities were founded by kings. Young men would move on to universities when they completed their study of grammar, logic, arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy.
